Logo Unveiled for the 2017 Millbrae Art & Wine Festival
Chamber of Commerce forging ahead with plans for the big 47th annual Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, September 2-3!
The Millbrae Chamber of Commerce introduced the official logo for the 2017 Art & Wine Festival. The logo was designed by local artist Vasco Morelli.
"Vasco’s the man … such an amazing creative talent!” said Festival Chair Lisa Fitzgibbons-Charney of Millbrae Jewelers. We love the fabulous, original art he comes up with every year and recognize the important role it plays in setting the tone for the festival."
"For the 2017 design, I wanted to create a look that not only embodied a more "festive" vibe, but one that represented the energy of the event itself. The Millbrae Art & Wine festival concept is always a challenge because there are so many popular aspects of the weekend – music, kid activities, food, art and, of course beer and wine. Using hits of bright colors to represent some of these key aspects allowed a secondary neutral layer of the hummingbird to represent the summer season without competing with the primary focus of the sun, balloon and music iconography".
The logo will adorn wine and beer glasses, volunteer t-shirts and be the centerpiece of advertising and promotion for this year’s 47th annual festival, widely considered one of the premier events in the Bay Area.
The 2017 Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, “Last Blast of Summer”, will take place September 2-3 from 10 am to 5 pm on Broadway. Admission is free.
