Let the good times roll! The festive spirit and flavor of the Big Easy is coming to the Bay Area! The 49th Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, The Last Blast of Summer, coming up August 31 – September 1, is the Bay Area’s biggest Labor Day weekend event with huge crowds transforming the city into a fantastically fun Mardi Gras-style celebration featuring two sun-splashed days of live music on stage and street throughout downtown, Art Explosion – a juried show with 250 professional artists and craftmakers showing their latest handcrafted wares, fabulous food and drink with premium wine, refreshing sangria, tasty seasonal craft beer, fresh-fruit margaritas, Bloody Mary’s and Summer Breeze Mules – the signature craft cocktail, Hops Haven microbrew tent, the Classically Cool Car Show, Cornhole game area, Stay Cool Misting Tent, plus Savory City artisan specialty food purveyors, tons of fun for kids with the Streets Filled With Talent Music & Dance Showcase plus an ultra thrilling zip-line soaring over Broadway, wild and wacky waterballerz, exciting thrill rides, 100-foot Super Slide, a rock climbing wall and an abundance of amazing amusements for kids in Playland, an organic and green products showcase, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays. Festival admission is free. Presented by the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce.

Stellar Live Music and Entertainment Everywhere … get ready – the greatest two days of live music Millbrae has ever experienced is coming with eleven big-name bands playing an eclectic mix of music non-stop on stage and street throughout downtown. Art Explosion – Fine Art & Cool Crafts ... 250 professional artists and craftmakers show original work in wood, leather, ceramics, metal, textiles, graphics, glass, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, photography, watercolor and oil painting, and clothing.

Streets Filled With Talent Stage … sensational young performers strut their showstopping music and dance in this Millbrae’s Got Talent-style showcase.

zipline funAction-Packed Kids’ Playland ... tons of fun and games with the awesome 200’ zip-line that flies zippers over the crowd on Broadway, wild and wacky Waterballerz, a 24-foot climbing wall and super fun bungee jump, ultra thrilling carnival rides, a monster 100’ Super Slide, the Great Crab Grab, intricate French hair braiding, create-your-own sand art sculptures, face painting and glitter tattoos. 

Fabulously Festive Food ... roasted fresh corn on the cob and baked potatoes with all the trimmings, Chicken and the Farm honey-walnut, sweet ginger-garlic, mango-habanero, and blue cheese with green onions and buffalo drizzle wings, boneless chicken bites and cauliflower bites, garlicky yogurt tzatziki-topped Greek herb-marinated lamb and chicken, crispy falafel, teriyaki chicken-on-a-stick, Chinese vegetarian chow mein, Filipino lumpias, tri-tip tacos, quesadillas and deep-fried zucchini, grilled teriyaki-marinated chicken and fry garlic-tossed tofu, half-pound smoked pork and beef sausages smothered with grilled onions and sauerkraut, corn dogs, curly fries and fried zucchini, tri-tip sandwiches, turkey legs, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried calamari, Portobello mushroom sandwiches, crispy fried zucchini and artichokes, zesty Key lime fried calamari with lime-watercress pesto, crab rolls, crab fries, wacky waffle puffs, bahn mi (the Vietnamese meat and vegetable sandwiches on a baguette), elotes (Mexican corn on the cob), churros and root beer floats, Mexican-inspired fresh-fruit hand-cut fruit cups, blended fruit drinks, snow cones with captivating flavors like wild cherry, blue raspberry, tiger's blood and watermelon., shaved ice, slushies on tap, such as their Arnold Palmer Freeze and Red Hibiscus Frost, as well other thirst-quenching drinks like fresh watermelon juice and limeade, freshly popped kettle corn, pineapple soft serve ice cream, mini donuts right nice and warm with a dusting of cinnamon sugar.

Deelish Drink … enjoy signature festival cocktails – deelish Summer Breeze Mules (vodka, fresh squeezed lime juice and ginger beer) plus classic Bloody Mary’s and  refreshing, handmade margaritas made from fresh fruit purees – mango, strawberry, cucumber jalapeno and traditional lime – as well as premium wine, refreshing sangria, tasty seasonal craft beer. Pets are not encouraged at the festival with warm weather and large crowds. For the safety, comfort, and courtesy of your pets and festival-goers, please leave your pets at home.
