Erica Sunshine Lee, aka the "Georgia Gypsy," is the "Hardest working woman in country music," performing over 250 shows per year since starting her Bay Area based band in 2007, and having released 9 original albums. Sunshine tours the globe, has opened for legends David Allan Coe, Maren Morris, Randy Houser, and more, and written over 40 songs recorded by Nashville, Australian and European recording artists, including her recent top 40 for Mark Bray, and has scored 3 Top 10 singles in Europe and 2 Top 80 singles in the US. Bringing raw and unfiltered sass, humor and heartfelt stories, this prolific songstress can have you in stitches and tears. Erica Sunshine Lee is a shining light on and off stage with her bright southern personality, sultry alto voice, rock attitude, country heart, and soul of a gypsy.
Want a band that knows how to get the party started and keeps the dance floor jumpin all night long? Then look no further! The Flaming O’s are the Ultimate Party Band. How many bands do you know that can seamlessly go from a Journey tune to a Katy Perry tune, from Adele to Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars to Led Zeppelin, Gwen Stefani to Aerosmith, Michael Jackson to Heart, from Joe Jonas and DNCE to INXS, or from Pink to Queen?
Chicago the TRIBUTE is a group of nine accomplished musicians that beautifully recreate that all-time great sound of Chicago with powerful horns, rich vocals and a rockin' rhythm section. Whether you are a fan of CHICAGO from the rockin' 60's and 70's, or the power ballads from later years, you'll love Chicago the TRIBUTE!
Sunday, September 1
Sol Peligro literally translates to “the sun that people feel threatened by.” The band was formed in 2005 and is a Latin/Reggae nine-piece from Sacramento and led by founder Sam Miranda (lead vocals). Sol Peligro has won Best Latin Band three times for the Sacramento Area Music Awards (Sammies). In 2012, Sol Peligro was inducted into the Sammies Hall Of Fame. The group has performed with greats like Ozomatli, Groupo Fantasma, and B Side Players.
Busta-Groove is the Bay’s #1 dance party band playing hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today! Their song list starts with classic Motown such as The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin. Do you want to hear 70’s disco and classic rock hits from artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores, and Led Zeppelin? They got that! Plus they perform all the top 80’s and 90’s R&B, Pop and Rock from Madonna, B-52’s, Guns N Roses, and of course Michael Jackson! They even do current Hip-Hop/pop hits from Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Bruno Mars, and the most popular songs of today.
Big Bang Beat is a the legendary San Francisco based review that perform favorites of the 60′s Motown sound and the fabulous funk of the 70′s through to dance hits from the 80’s and 90’s. They are lead by dazzling female singers decked out in sequined dresses, plus a crack horn section, a precision choreographed stage show, and a zany, non-stop energy that has made this highly acclaimed band a virtual fixture at clubs, conventions, fund-raisers and corporate and private parties throughout the U.S.A., and now increasingly around the globe.
As you wander, taking in the incredible art and delicious libations, be sure to look out for these talented musicians who will be playing in various locations around the festival:
Catch some great classic rock and roll music by local rockers Loudin’ Cleer along with the Classically Cool Car Show and the “Hops Haven” microbrew tasting tent with an exceptional selection of tasty seasonal craft brews from the top producers from the craft beer centric Bay Area.
Bob Culbertson is a virtuoso of the Chapman stick, a guitar-like stringed instrument designed to be tapped, not strummed or plucked. He has spent more than 30 years cultivating his unique sound. His combination of expression, technique and musical emotion is like nothing heard before and his musical style ranges from light jazz with folk and blues flavor to classical with Spanish, contemporary, and traditional influences.
Saxophonist and arranger Stephen Dreyfuss plays Tenor and Baritone with a flair for technique, whether playing in Jazz, Pop or Blues settings. In addition to his instrumental artistry, Stephen enjoys composing songs and singing as well.
An instrument like the harp doesn’t exactly inspire imagery of driving bass lines and mainstream appeal, and that’s what Bay Area based harpist, singer/songwriter Ella Dawn Jenkins, aka EllaHarp is working to change. Armed with a fresh take on contemporary blues, the musical lineage of composer/arranger Gordon Jenkins, and a unique instrument she designed for the purpose, EllaHarp is pushing the harp out of type-cast genre constraints and doing things differently. Her debut 2018 album "Who Asked You Back" blends folk roots with blues-y riffs and a splash of mainstream pop. Stripped down solo harp and voice meets electric guitar from Sam Eigen (Smash Mouth), creepy mythology meets attitude-laden break up songs, and the harp meets a whole new vault of possibilities.
