East Bay Mudd is a dynamic 9-piece band that has been thrilling audiences and dancers all over the Bay Area for years with their upbeat and powerful take on Soul, Funk and R&B classics. The band’s approach is to stay true to the songs they cover both in musical arrangement and style. A stellar lead singer and fabulous rhythm section are the basic ingredients for an outstanding band, but East Bay Mudd has an additional feature that makes the band great – a dynamite horn section. Talented band members include lead singer Tommy Banks, drummer T Moran, bass and guitar players Brian Hough and Bobby Cedro, with Cote Reese on keyboards, Michael Peloquin tenor sax and harmonica, Craig Bryant trombone and Cookie Reese baritone and alto sax.

When combined, you can expect an amazing show where the crowds are stomping boots, bobbing heads, and entrances by the sound all around.

Patrón Music is one of the few Latin bands in the Bay Area that is on point in playing different styles of Latin music including Latin Jazz, Cha-Chas, Latin Rock, Mambo and old school R&B with a Latin twist! Patrón brings a solid driving percussion section, hair raising guitar licks, and a horn section reminiscent of Tower of Power and has shared stages with Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters, Pete Escovedo, Richard Bean (Mr. Suavecito), Malo, Shiela E. and Tower of Power!
As you wander, taking in the incredible art and delicious libations, be sure to look out for these talented musicians who will be playing in various locations around the festival:
Bob Culbertson is a virtuoso of the Chapman stick, a guitar-like stringed instrument designed to be tapped, not strummed or plucked. He has spent more than 30 years cultivating his unique sound. His combination of expression, technique and musical emotion is like nothing heard before and his musical style ranges from light jazz with folk and blues flavor to classical with Spanish, contemporary, and traditional influences.
John Clarke is a truly gifted acoustic nylon-string guitar player who plays charming, romantic old-world compositions influenced by Spanish and Latin American guitar traditions. He loves sharing his music and even offers online guitar lessons to students around the globe.
Saxophonist and arranger Stephen Dreyfuss plays Tenor and Baritone with a flair for technique, whether playing in Jazz, Pop or Blues settings. In addition to his instrumental artistry, Stephen enjoys composing songs and singing as well.
Feel the love that only Italy can inspire with the romantic acoustic repertoire of HeartStrings Music. The fabulous duo, Al Fabrizio on mandolin and Hugo Wainzinger on guitar, have masterfully captured the essence of amore.
